Junkoid is a high-octane space-action game that revitalizes the classic arcade experience with a modern twist. You pilot a specialized scavenger ship tasked with clearing the galaxy of hazardous space debris.

But it’s not just about cleaning up! As you navigate through chaotic debris fields, you must hunt down and destroy massive, sentient bosses constructed from the very waste you’ve been collecting. Use your hard-earned credits to upgrade your engines, boost your firepower, and customize your ship to survive increasingly difficult sectors. Are you ready to clean up the cosmos and dominate the high-score leaderboard?

How to Play

Objective: Destroy as much space junk as possible, defeat the scrap-built bosses, and survive to beat your high score.

Controls:

• Rotate: Use the Left/Right Arrow keys (or A/D) to rotate your ship.
• Thrust: Use the Up Arrow key (or W) to propel your ship forward. Manage your fuel and momentum carefully—space has no friction!
• Shoot: Press the Z key to fire your laser cannon at incoming debris.
• Avoid Collision: Do not touch the space junk! Colliding with it will immediately trigger a game-over sequence.

Gameplay Tips:

1. Manage Momentum: Because this game uses realistic space physics, you will continue drifting even after you stop thrusting. Use your rotation and thrusters to perform sharp turns.
2. Strategic Destruction: Target the debris early. The faster you clear the screen, the less likely you are to get overwhelmed by the junk's gravity-like attraction towards your ship.
3. Upgrade your Arsenal: Don't forget to visit the shop (between waves) to purchase engine and laser upgrades. Higher fire rates and faster movement speed are essential for taking down the giant scrap bosses.
4. Beat the Record: Keep an eye on your High Score in the top corner of the screen. Every piece of junk destroyed brings you one step closer to legendary scavenger status.
